
Long march - Minhaj ul Qaran Movement
Dr Tahirul Qadri, religious scholar and chief of Minhajul Qaran Movement, has given a 7-point charter of demands to the government that include dissolution of assemblies and appointment of a caretaker set-up to implement electoral reforms before the forthcoming general elections due in March 2013. Dr Qadri, in his speech before a charged crowed sitting at the D-Chowk close to Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad, has termed his charter of demands as Islamabad Declaration, and said the protest would continue till the acceptance of his demands. How far this protest can continue and yield results is the principal question, which the participants have answered in this exclusive talk with Tahir Dhindsa. . .
